Facilities

Failsworth Soccer Centre is one of the few sporting sites within Manchester to be blessed with the brand new, state of the art, 3G synthetic Grass Pitches. The centre boasts two outdoor pitches which can be hired per hour either for a full or half pitch (prices vary depending on youth or adult football).

Failsworth school has access to the centre during term time up until 5pm for PE lessons which include Football, Rugby, Athletics and Lacrosse, after 5pm it is then hired out to the local community, clubs and general hirers. During school holidays pitch rental is also available during the day – this will also include a range of coaching opportunities for differing groups.

The surfaces and surrounding areas are the product of local company Recomac, who are one of the major players in 3G surfacing and have also laid pitches at Manchester City’s Platt Lane Complex (for more information on Recomac please see our links page).

The centre also has (from Summer 2008) 3 brand new grass pitches – to be used for top class games for local clubs and cup finals. These will be split into 2 youth pitches which will be good for up to under 16 age group, and 1 full size adult pitch. For more information on prices for the pitches please click here.

These pitches have be laid and drained by another local company Bancroft Amenities, who will also be maintaining the full time development and well being of the pitches.

Within the grounds of the centre is the Pavilion building which has a reception area, 4 changing rooms available and 2 Officials rooms all with showers – as well as toilets, disabled facilities, over 60 car parking spaces. There are also hot and cold refreshments available to players and spectators all year round.

Opening Times

During school term time Failsworth Sports College use the centre from 9am - 4pm.
The centre is then open to the general public from
4pm - 9pm Monday to Friday.

In the school holidays the centre is open 9am till 9pm Monday to Friday

Weekend opening hours are Saturday 8.30am - 5pm
Sunday 9am - 5pm
